Memory Lane

To get us to current day Portland, I guess it would be prudent to take you on a trip down memory lane to tell you how we got here. Well, it's not quite memory lane since we've only been in Portland since August, but it has been quite a whirlwind with everything that has happened over the past few months. Each one of the following bullet points is probably worthy of its own post (and perhaps will be reserved for future posts) but here's a quick recap:

• End of June 2007 - Neil finishes his Informatics and Technology Specialty Residency at the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers

• July 14, 2007 - Neil and Erica get married

• End of July 2007 - Return from our honeymoon in Hawaii

• Mid-August 2007 - Move cross country and relocate to Portland, OR

• End of August 2007 - Neil starts his job at Oregon Health and Science University as an Informatics Pharmacist. Beautiful hospital, huh? (Will post more pics in later posts.)

• End of October 2007 - Erica starts her job at NeuroTherapeutics, Inc as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist

It certainly has been a crazy past few months to say the least. Things are finally starting to calm down a bit and we are both starting to get into the full swing of things with our jobs. Things are going well but the only thing missing from Portland are our close friends and family! It's easy to get homesick being so far from everyone but we are keeping busy with work and attempting to explore much more of Oregon. I'm sure as we discover more, you'll be the first to know!
